The word “amateur” has an apologetic ring. But it comes from “amatore”, Latin for “lover”. Bradford Amateur Movie Making Club, established in 1932, now struggles to survive as its members grow old amid flickering memories and hardships. Clinging to their dreams, and to each other, fuelled by endless cups of tea, this gently comedic, profoundly moving portrait of shared artistic folly speaks to the dreamer in us all.
