Name Me Lawand is an immersive cinematic experience told from within the eyes and ears of a young deaf boy from Iraq. Void of any language, communication or true sense of self, Lawand struggles to piece together his surroundings in his new home in Yorkshire, England after a traumatic and turbulent year of seeking asylum through Europe. Paralleling the heartbreaking story of the heroic people who never gave up on him, is Lawands own emotional journey as he fights to learn where he is, where he came from and ultimately who he is to become.

Edward Lovelace and James Hall are a directing duo collectively known as DARYL. Their work in commercials and cinematic documentaries has earned them two Silver Cannes Lions. In 2010 DARYL directed their first feature length documentary WEREWOLVES ACROSS AMERICA which premiered at CPH:Dox Copenhagen and London’s Raindance. The film is a portrait of American youth culture told from within an underground music scene. Over the past 12 months DARYL have filmed a documentary with American singer Katy Perry. Integrated content production company Pulse was set up by Thomas Benski and Marisa Clifford. The company works across television, music, advertising, film and digital media. Pulse was founded in 2005 and has grown from just two people to a company with 30 staff and an office in Los Angles to handle its US based productions. William Morris Endeavour represents the company. Lucas Ochoa (Head of Film) was named as a Hotshot 2010 by Broadcast Magazine.
Pulse produced ‘No Distance Left To Run’, in 2010, about British band Blur, which was theatrically released in the UK, across Europe, Japan and Canada. It has screened on BBC2 and also BBC4. The film has been nominated for a Grammy and was Shortlisted for a Grierson. In 2012, ‘Shut Up and Play the Hits’, about the break up of revolutionary electronic band LCD Soundsystem, was an Official Selection at the SXSW Film Festival and was released across 120 cinemas across the US
