In a housing estate in North Liverpool The Marian Stars – a group of 80 girls meet weekly to practise and compete in Fluffy Morris: a thriving working-class, traditional folk dance largely unknown by the outside world. Fluffy Morris is a hugely popular competitive dance which only exists in the Northwest of England. With thousands of girls who practise Fluffy Morris in the region, it is somehow not seen or celebrated. Directed by artist Nicki McCubbing and produced by filmmaker Caroline Smith this is a story not yet told of friendship, resilience and authentic female working class culture spanning multiple generations.
